I still consider myself relatively new to running and I’m not sure at which point in your journey that changes!? I’m a Dad to my 4 incredible children, husband to my extremely patient wife and I’m currently a mature student (34) studying a BSc (Hons) Strength & Conditioning. As you can tell…I’m pretty busy. As a qualified Personal Trainer my aim is to help show people that health and fitness isn’t a chore and it’s something that anyone can fit into their schedule.
I have completed 4 half marathons; 11 OCR events and I’m now looking forward to my first full marathon next year in Manchester then followed by my hometown marathon in Milton Keynes shortly after. I’ve set myself the target of completing Manchester Marathon in 3:45 and I’ll be documenting my training across my social media in the build-up. I’m not a natural runner but I really want to highlight that with the correct training, dedication and commitment, you really can achieve anything you set your mind to.
Running has helped me in so many ways over the last few years and it continues to offer me a little escape and time to clear my head. Running is different for every single person but brings so many people together and that’s the beauty of it.
Remember…the only person stopping you progressing is yourself!
