Preferring team sports I was a reluctant runner when I started in my 40’s back in 2015. I began with the ‘jeffing’ method & built on this to eventually take part in my first Parkrun. In 2018 I ran my first 10k & finally accepted I was indeed a runner! In my 50th year I even completed my first ever ‘mini’ Triathlon. After some training on a cold January morning in 2020 I became a Guide Runner. I’m very proud of some of the medals I’ve achieved over the years but my greatest achievement is guiding & I’m hoping through social media that I can encourage more VI runners & guides to just get out there.
