A little bit about my journey in 2009 I have been married to my lovely husband for 16 months when he was killed in a hit-and-run whilst on duty serving as a metropolitan police officer.
My world was shattered my mental health was in a bad way and my physical health wasn’t much better, in the coming years I would gain more weight and in 2011 I was topping the scale at 19 1/2 stone and at 5ft 2” this was clearly no idea.
Through Addressing my nutrition fitness & exercise and of course running I finally took control of my weight on my mental health, dropping over 9stone and maintaining that weight loss. It hasn’t been easy but I’ve done it. In 2017 I completed the London Marathon and this year my challenge is Outlaw X (half Ironman distance) .
I’m a real advocate for keeping ourselves mentally well through exercise and running in particular. My other passion in life is stand up paddle boarding where I’m trying to be an instructor (I have been Supping for 4 years) and it’s a lovely sport to do alongside running it’s great cross training.
I document all of my training and adventures on Instagram.
