It’s been a busy week at the National Running Show HQ, and we’re delighted to announce a series of new partnerships for our Show in January 2018!
Firstly, we’re welcoming onboard Ultramarathon runner and award-winning author Ira Rainey! Ira is a self-confessed delusional optimist who grew up believing he was bionic. He went on to publish “Fat Man to Green Man: From Unfit to Ultramarathon” and is currently in the final stages of editing his next book, “Still Not Bionic”. “Fat Man to Green Man” won the silver award for books at The 2014 Running Awards, and Ira was also a shortlisted finalist for New Writer of the Year at The British Sports Book Awards.
We are also incredibly happy to welcome 3 new exhibitors to the show: James White Drinks, Charming Rewards, and Naked Runner!
James White Drinks, the company behind the popular Beet It Organic drink and Beet It Sport nitrate supplements will be attending the Show as exhibitors, and (we hope!) bringing along some delicious samples of their beetroot-based drinks! Established in 2005, they have a range of food and drinks ideal for people leading an active life, including Beet It Sport Shot, Beet It Sport Bar, and Beet It Sport Nitrate 3000. Their slogan “Beet your personal best” is a testament to both their sports drinks and their ability to make puns!
Charming Rewards are a Norfolk-based company who have a very appropriate name – they provide charms, pendants, necklaces, cufflinks, and many other kinds of rewards geared to the running and triathlon markets. Some of their items are suited for various kinds of runs, like 5k and 10k, and they even offer a bespoke service to create your own charm.
Naked Runner are a maker of elite sports sunglasses, designed to protect your eyes and improve performance, whether you’re a runner, cyclist, or partake in any kind of athletics. The sunglasses on offer are all lightweight, stylish, offer great protection, all at reasonable prices. We really look forward to adding Naked Runner to our growing list of kit exhibitors!
The National Running Show is the UK’s newest and most exciting running event, attracting thousands of runners looking to find the kit, advice and support needed to achieve their running goals. It is an event designed for runners and by runners but crucially it takes place at the start of the calendar year when most runners start training plans and deciding their race calendar. Visitors to the show will be able to hear inspirational talks from running experts and get free advice on nutrition, training and equipment. They can also see the latest products launches, get free trainer fitting and enter a range of exciting competitions.
The National Running Show is organised by Raccoon Events and takes place at the NEC on 20-21 January 2018. For more information, please contact [email protected] or call Madeleine on 0203 770 9303.
