Cancer Research UK has been confirmed as the Official Charity Partner for The National Running Show, which makes its debut on 20th and 21st January 2018 at Birmingham’s NEC.
The charity is the perfect partner for what will be the UK’s first dedicated non-race affiliated event solely for runners. Well known amongst runners through its Race for Life event series, Cancer Research UK will join the many high-profile exhibitors already confirmed for The National Running Show. Those booking tickets online will also have the option to donate to Cancer Research UK during the registration process.
Thousands of runners have already pre-registered for tickets to The National Running Show, which is set to be the event for runners of all ages, abilities and interests. With motivational talks from running experts, free advice on nutrition, training and equipment, the latest product launches, free gait analysis and trainer fitting, the show is relevant to those starting out on their first 5K through to experienced ultra-marathon runners.
Heading up the fantastic line-up of speakers will be Dame Kelly Holmes and many other running icons such as endurance runner Susie Chan, Olympian Jo Pavey, adventurer Russell Smith, runner Elise Downing and extreme endurance athlete Sean Conway.
They will be discussing topics of interest to all runners, including how to run the perfect half marathon, trail versus road running and top race tips and nutrition.
Cancer Research UK is the world’s leading cancer charity dedicated to saving lives through research. The charity’s pioneering work into the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of cancer has helped saved millions of lives.
Online registration for free tickets to The National Running Show is open and includes the option to donate £2, £5 or £10 to Cancer Research UK.
