Up & Running returns as Retail Partner for 2020

Up & Running

The organisers of The National Running Show have confirmed Up & Running as Official Retail Partner for the event on Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th January 2020 at Birmingham’s NEC.

This will be the third consecutive year that Up & Running partners with the award-winning show, and once more the specialist running retailer will be showcasing a number of high-profile brands including Saucony, Polar, On and CamelBak. Additional brands will be announced in the coming weeks.

Up & Running has been supporting runners across the UK for over 25 years, with a network of stores supplying shoes, clothes, accessories and nutrition from top running brands. The retailer’s experience and expertise make it the perfect partner for a show entirely dedicated to running.

Taking place pre-race season, The National Running Show is the UK’s biggest independent running show, offering runners the unique opportunity to try out and purchase the latest products and limited editions from big, well-known brands through to smaller brands not found anywhere else.

The National Running Show 2020 will benefit from a much larger floor space in order to welcome the biggest range yet of sports brands, retailers, nutrition experts, race organisers and communities. The show will also feature an exciting range of feature areas where visitors can find out more about specialist areas of interest, chat to those in the know and try out all kinds of kit and equipment. New interactive areas confirmed for 2020 include two Obstacle Course Race courses and an Ultra Zone hosting fireside chats with ultra-runners.

The Main Stage is always a big draw at The National Running Show and the 2020 event already boasts a superb line-up of speakers. Headlining the show will be British track star Sally Gunnell, Europe’s greatest ever 100m sprinter Linford Christie, ultramarathoner Dean Karnazes and 3-time Olympic medalist Kriss Akabusi. Endurance runner Susie Chan and Welsh Olympic silver medallist and former European and Commonwealth 400m champion Iwan Thomas will be co-hosting the event.

The National Running Show expects more than 60,000 visitor ticket registrations for 2020, all of whom will be able to discover the latest kit, tech, nutrition and races from over 250 exhibitors, learn from inspiring speakers and improve their running technique thanks to the hands-on feature areas.

Rebecca Richardson, Director of Raccoon Events, commented:We are thrilled to welcome back Up & Running as our Official Retail Partner for The National Running Show 2020. Up & Running will once again be supporting some excellent brands including Saucony, Polar, On and CamelBak, all of which were very well received at the 2019 event. We look forward to seeing everyone again in January 2020!”
