Running is in its rock star era, growing rapidly in popularity, one in five people in the UK now say they run at least once monthly. This boom has been reflected at the UK running community’s premier event, the National Running Show. The annual award-winning event which takes place in January at NEC Birmingham, saw record numbers of approximately 30,000 visitors this year.

With a running royalty line-up announced as headliners for the 2025 show, make sure you are first in line to secure tickets. Set your reminders for the Box Office launch at 9am on Thursday July 25th.

Running rock stars already confirmed to grace the stage and attract runners from all over the UK at the National Running Show 2025 include Russ Cook, a.k.a. ‘Hardest Geezer’ and Jasmin Paris. Both Brits gained worldwide media coverage earlier this year for incredible individual feats.

The Hardest Geezer, Russ, became the first person to run the entire length of Africa, covering 9,940 miles and 16 countries in 352 days. Whilst Jasmin made history in March by becoming the first ever woman to complete the notoriously tough Barkley Marathons. Held in Tennessee, the race distance is five 20-mile loops around Frozen Head State Park, and features 16,500m (54,000 feet) of elevation changes.

The National Running Show is a true celebration of running across all sections of the sport. The whole weekend is a true reflection of how special the running community is. Every facet, from beginners to multi-distance veterans, road runners, to mountain runners. Everyone is welcomed, supported and guaranteed to leave motivated.

Perfectly positioned at the start of the year, the National Running Show is the ideal kickstart to your 2025 running ambitions. The setting allows running enthusiasts to connect directly with brands, see the latest gadgets, gear and nutrition, plus get advice from industry experts. Immerse yourself in the interactive stalls and areas, from a running skills theatre, to pilates sessions, gait analysis, free massages, outdoor obstacle courses and much more!

With the initial speaker line-up for 2025 unveiled, there is a perfect pick n’ mix for all runners. Across the stages and stands you’ll find an appetising mix of Olympians, ultrarunners, triathletes, YouTube running favourites, the stars of The Running Channel, plus more to be added.

The National Running Show is continuing the renewed support of Birmingham Children’s Hospital Charity as the event’s official charity partner. The collaboration, which will enter its third year in 2025, aims to promote fundraising challenges in aid of the charity. Leading by example, many of the team behind the scenes of the National Running Show undertake personal initiatives, with two team members set to climb Kilimanjaro in 2025.

The seventh edition of the National Running Show will be held on the weekend of 25-26 January 2025 at the NEC, Birmingham in Hall 18 and 19, with opening times of 9am ‘til 5pm on both days.

To celebrate the box office opening, there will be a limited 5,000 tickets available at just £5 using the code ‘LAUNCH’. After this, tickets will be priced at either £10 per day, or £18 for a weekend ticket.

Craig Hanratty, Event Director of National Running Show, states, “As a team, we are so proud of how far this event has come. There is a consistent interest in being part of the show, from both visitors and businesses and that’s how you know you have created and are continuing to develop something special. The running community is already magical, and The National Running Show reflects that spirit and camaraderie. As organisers, we provide and promote a fun, exciting and inclusive space for all runners. In addition, it is really rewarding to be able to give back to the community and be conscious of managing our events with sustainable practices. “
