Tasha Thompson is the Founder and Chair of Black Girls Do Run UK, a registered charity and running community creating space, visibility and opportunities for Black women in running.

A runner since 1999, Tasha has completed distances from 1K to 100K and is passionate about making running accessible and welcoming to people of all abilities and paces. She is a qualified running coach and run leader, and is passionate about community, participation, representation and creating a greater sense of belonging within the sport.

By day, Tasha works as a Neighbourhood Community Lead for Brent Active Together, supporting local communities to become more physically active and helping to create opportunities for movement that reflect what communities actually want and need.

Tasha is also a public speaker and advocate for grassroots running communities, using her own experiences and more than 25 years in running to encourage others to find their own place in the sport.
