Tony Piedade is a long-standing advocate for running participation, community and accessibility, with almost two decades of experience creating initiatives that help more people get active and stay active.
He founded JoggingBuddy, one of the earliest global platforms connecting runners with local training partners, growing the community to more than 60,000 runners across 120 countries.
He later founded JogOn, a sustainability initiative tackling the millions of pairs of running shoes sent to landfill each year. Through a growing network of collection points, JogOn has already diverted tens of thousands of pairs for reuse and recycling.
Tony is also the founder of WeDoRunning, a new participation platform designed to connect runners, clubs, events and brands, while giving runners the support, motivation and community they need throughout their running journey.
Alongside these ventures, Tony brings extensive experience in strategy, transformation, loyalty, partnerships and business growth.
