I’m Amy from Birmingham, and running has become a huge part of who I am. I’m the owner of FIT Sutton Coldfield and a fitness coach, but above all, I’m passionate about helping everyday people realise they’re capable of more than they ever thought possible.
Running isn’t just about pace or finish times; it’s about confidence, resilience and being part of an incredible community. My own journey has taken me from local training runs to completing the Great North Run, the London Landmarks Half Marathon and the TCS London Marathon.
Next year, I’m fortunate to have places in both the Manchester Marathon and the TCS London Marathon, and I’m excited to take on the challenge all over again!
I love every type of running, whether it’s road running, track sessions, treadmill miles, joining local run clubs, heading out solo to clear my head or taking my dog Barney along. Every run has its own purpose, and I genuinely enjoy them all.
Alongside traditional running, I’ve also been part of the incredible growth of fitness racing. Through coaching, competing and officiating, I’ve travelled across the UK and internationally to work at some of the biggest fitness racing events in the world. It has given me a unique perspective on how running brings people together, whether you’re chasing a marathon finish, taking on a fitness race or enjoying your first parkrun.
As a coach, I work with people of all abilities, from complete beginners taking their first steps to experienced runners chasing new goals. My passion is helping people build confidence, enjoy the process and discover just how much they can achieve.
Giving back is also a huge part of what I do. Through running and community events, I’ve helped raise thousands of pounds for Birmingham Children’s Hospital, a charity incredibly close to my heart. I believe running has the power to change lives, both for those taking part and the causes we support.
As a National Running Show ambassador, I’m proud to share the show with my members, followers and local community. I want to inspire more people to get involved and show that there isn’t just one way to be a runner.
For me, running has never been about being the fastest. It’s about showing up, staying consistent and helping others believe they can achieve extraordinary things too.
