National Running Show partner with Ramathon and adds exhibitors

The National Running Show is delighted to announce that we have partnered with Derby-based half marathon Ramathon, as well as bringing onboard 2 new exhibitors for our inaugural show: Virtual Runner and Halo Headband.

Returning to the city of Derby for a fourth year, the Ramathon – now with a world record to its name – will again be based at Derby County’s iconic Pride Park Stadium; the home of the Rams. At 2016’s Ramathon, Lindsy James set a new world record as fastest female to complete a half marathon pushing a baby in a pram. Taking in the bustle of the city centre as well as the scenic grounds of Elvaston Castle Country Park, Ramathon is a flat and fast course, providing runners with the potential to achieve a personal best.

Virtual Runner is a website aimed at enabling runners across the world to participate in races wherever they are, whenever they can run. Instead of signing up for your traditional race and travelling to a certain place and time to run, you can instead sign up for any number of the ‘virtual’ races and run when it’s convenient with you. Virtual Runner offer many different races and medals, and also donate 20% of entry fees to designated race charities.

Every runner knows that after a certain distance, sweat becomes a problem. Halo Headbands aim to solve this problem with their innovative product designed to help runners (and many other users) keep sweat from running into their eyes. The headbands work by absorbing sweat and use a patented Sweat Block Seal to move the sweat to the side of the head, where it’s free to continue to trickle distraction-free. Originally created in the US, the product aims to aid people running, walking, cycling, racket sports, gym work-outs, martial arts, construction workers, engineers, and more.

The National Running Show is the UK’s newest and most exciting running event, attracting thousands of runners looking to find the kit, advice and support needed to achieve their running goals. It is an event designed for runners and by runners but crucially it takes place at the start of the calendar year when most runners start training plans and deciding their race calendar. Visitors to the show will be able to hear inspirational talks from running experts and get free advice on nutrition, training and equipment. They can also see the latest products launches, get free trainer fitting and enter a range of exciting competitions.

The National Running Show is organised by Raccoon Events and takes place at the NEC on 20-21 January 2018. For more information, please contact [email protected] or call Madeleine on 0203 770 9303.
