National Running Show sign up Russell Smith and Danny Bent as Speakers

Continuing the trend of recruiting the UK’s greatest runners as expert speakers, the National Running Show has signed up adventurer and presenter Russell Smith, and runner and journalist Danny Bent to its inaugural show in January 2018.

Russell Smith, well-recognised adventurer, presenter, and consultant, has worked with a number of renowned organisations, such as the National Trust, Cancer Research, and has his own London Speaking series “Russell Smith Presents”. Russell has graciously agreed to be the host for the National Running Show, meaning he’ll be a regular fixture at the two-day event!

Danny Bent, also adventurer, journalist, and Guinness World Record holder, has also signed up to be an expert speaker on day 2 of the Show. He was also voted one of the 100 Happiest People in the UK, and is currently organising an 18,000 mile relay run around the world!

The National Running Show said:

“We’re incredibly excited to have both Russell and Danny onboard! They are both great men with huge personalities that will attract a host of people to the Show. We’re looking forward to having Russell chair our Show and engage with our speakers and attendees, and likewise we know Danny will bring a wealth of experience and inspiration to his talk!”

The National Running Show is the UK’s newest and most exciting running event, attracting thousands of runners looking to find the kit, advice and support needed to achieve their running goals. It is an event designed for runners and by runners but crucially it takes place at the start of the calendar year when most runners start training plans and deciding their race calendar. Visitors to the show will be able to hear inspirational talks from running experts and get free advice on nutrition, training and equipment. They can also see the latest products launches, get free trainer fitting and enter a range of exciting competitions.

The National Running Show is organised by Raccoon Events and takes place at the NEC on 20-21 January 2018. For more information, please contact [email protected] or call Madeleine on 0203 770 9303.
