The organisers of The National Running Show Birmingham have announced four more top female speakers for the event on Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th January 2020 at Birmingham’s NEC.

Nikki LoveJoining the first-class speaker programme over the course of the two days will be Nikki Love, Jessica Robson, Mimi Anderson and Anna McNuff.

Adventure runner Nikki Love (right) makes her second appearance at the show, having thrilled the audience at the 2019 event with her adventures which have included running 63 marathons in 63 days and running 750 miles around Ireland. In May 2020, Nikki will be embarking on her biggest challenge yet, her ‘Nikki Love Runs Across Oz’ World Record attempt. She will be attempting to run from Perth to Sydney in 63 days, averaging 40 miles each day, and in so doing break the World Record that has stood for 12 years.

Jessica Run Talk RunJessica Robson (left) is the driving force behind Run Talk Run, a global mental health support community that hosts worldwide runs for people to connect weekly with a jog and a chat. Jessica has herself experienced depression, anxiety and bulimia, and the two things that propelled her out of her dark space were running and community. Wanting to normalise the conversation about mental health and help others experience the benefit of running for emotional wellbeing, Jess established Run Talk Run in 2017 as a safe place where people can run and chat. Run Talk Run now offers 44 weekly runs in locations worldwide, without care for pace or PBs.

Multiple Guinness World Record holder Mimi Anderson (main image) needs little introduction in the world of running. Having only discovered her love of running at the age of 36, Mimi has become well known for her endurance challenges in extreme environments, including the world’s hottest deserts, the highest mountains and the freezing temperatures of the Arctic. Considered one of the world’s most inspirational female distance runners, Mimi is now passionate about using her running to help others tackle challenges in their own lives. Her talk at The National Running Show is sure to be a fascinating insight into pushing beyond one’s limits, overcoming fears and building the confidence to face anything life throws at you.

Anna McNuffAdventurer, speaker, author and mischief maker Anna McNuff (right) is a familiar face at The National Running Show. Her welcome return to the 2020 event will see her recount her latest adventure, #BarefootBritain, in which she aims to run the distance of 100 marathons (2,620 miles) across Britain barefoot. This extraordinary challenge is taking place between July and November 2019 and the main aim is to encourage young women to reach for the impossible. As an ambassador for UK Girl Guiding, Anna will be visiting Girl Guide units along the way and speaking to girls of all ages about the joys of adventure, encouraging them to take on challenges they believe to be beyond their reach. Anna’s own challenge has not been without setbacks and she is guaranteed to delight and inspire the audience with her anecdotes in January.

These four latest females join an already impressive line-up of speakers for The National Running Show Birmingham 2020. Already confirmed are ultra runners Lazarus Lake, Camille Herron and Nicky Spinks, plus Sally Gunnell, Linford Christie, Dean Karnazes, Kriss Akabusi, Jo Pavey, Steve Cram, Susannah Gill and Rhys and Scott Jenkins.

The National Running Show is the UK’s biggest independent running show, offering runners the unique opportunity to try out and purchase the latest products and limited editions from big, well-known brands through to smaller brands not found anywhere else. The show expects more than 55,000 visitor ticket registrations for 2020, all of whom will be able to discover the latest kit, tech, nutrition and races from over 250 exhibitors, learn from inspiring speakers and improve their running technique thanks to the hands-on feature areas.

Mike Seaman, CEO of Raccoon Events, commented: “We are delighted to welcome these four latest runners to the speaker programme for The National Running Show Birmingham. Each of these runners has achieved extraordinary things and they are sure to inspire visitors to the show with their incredible stories and their drive to achieve their own personal goals.
