Born in 1984, Marc Roig’s athletic journey began with football, but his true passion emerged at 15 when he transitioned to running. Specializing in long-distance, he competed internationally in youth categories, though the senior level remained elusive. By age 25, Marc shifted to road running, setting personal bests in the half marathon (1:04) and marathon (2:18) in Barcelona. He also took pride in pacing elite female runners, notably helping Florence Kiplagat set multiple World Records in the half marathon.
In 2015, Marc moved to Kenya, joining the renowned NN Running Team in Kaptagat as a physiotherapist. His deepening involvement in the sport led to a new role in 2019 as the Elite Field Coordinator for the Valencia Half Marathon and Marathon. In January 2024, Marc became the Sports Director of Kiprun 42 House in Iten, Kenya, continuing his mission to support and develop elite athletes on the global stage.
