Alex won gold in the individual triathlon and bronze in the mixed relay triathlon in Paris (2024) to add to his two medals, silver in the individual triathlon and gold in the mixed relay triathlon from Tokyo (2020), becoming the most decorated Olympic triathlete ever.
Running is Alex’s strength and he has represented Great Britain at numerous cross-country championships as well as the 10,000m in the 2018 European Championships, having won the British Champs in a time of 27.51 earlier that year. In his first London Marathon (2025) he ran 2.11.08 and then went to Valencia and ran 2.06.38, the second fastest British marathon ever (at the time).
He is also a double Commonwealth triathlon gold medallist winning the individual and mixed relay in Birmingham (2022).
