Pippa Woolven is a former international distance runner, NCAA Division I athlete, and the founder of Project REDs, a global initiative dedicated to raising awareness of Relative Energy Deficiency in Sport.

Having experienced REDs firsthand during her own running career, Pippa now uses her story to educate athletes, coaches, parents, and practitioners on the importance of fuelling, recovery, and long-term health in sport. Through Project REDs, she works with schools, universities, clubs, and national sporting organisations to improve understanding, prevention, and support around REDs.

Pippa is passionate about helping athletes recognise that health and performance are not opposing goals, but deeply connected. At the National Running Show, she will share her personal journey, the lessons she has learned through recovery, and the wider changes needed to create healthier sporting environments for the next generation of runners.
