I’m Zawar, a community-driven runner who believes running is at its best when it brings people together. I’ve been actively involved with the Muslim Runners community throughout the past several years, where I love encouraging connection, sharing knowledge, and supporting runners of all backgrounds and abilities.
Alongside running, I’m deeply passionate about personal development and communication. Over the past few years, I’ve transformed my confidence and leadership skills through Toastmasters International, where I currently serve as the President for my local club in Preston. In this role, I support members’ growth, help shape engaging meetings, and create inclusive spaces where people can find their voice.
Professionally, I work as a Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner within NHS Talking Therapies, which further fuels my interest in wellbeing, listening, and meaningful human connection.
Being involved with the National Running Show is something I’m genuinely excited about. I love sharing ideas, offering feedback, supporting events on the ground, and recommending opportunities to my communities. For me, running isn’t just about miles or medals. Running is about belonging, growth, and lifting others along the way.
