25–26 Jan 2025 274 days to go! #RunShow

Antony Webb

I started running in 2011 when I found that my weight was getting out of control and keeping up with the kids was becoming difficult. I decided to jump straight in with a half marathon what is still my Pb having got my Asthma under control and loosing 3.5 stone.

Work got in the way for a couple of year then really gained a love for running in 2015 and doing my first marathon the following year and continued to a further 5 including Brighton Berlin and London.  I have since lost count of the number of half marathons I have completed, I think it was 12 in 2019.

I now try to encourage others to get active, and improve their health, physically and mentally, one of the most enjoyable aspects of my running these days is when I am acting as a Pacer to help runners achieve their goals and ambitions and hit new PB targets, which is always  a big boost for me.

I have done several OCR events (as me about the scare) and trail races that I have really enjoyed and plan to do more.  I also planning to go attempt an ultra-marathon in 2020.
