I began running in 2008 when I was in that familiar setting of where all the best/worst ideas come from…the pub! After a few too many I uttered the words “I’m going to do a marathon” which certainly made those around me laugh… bearing in mind I had not run for over 10 years, probably not since school so I had a long journey ahead….
Fast forward 12 years and I have just completed my first 100 miler… I have run a bunch of ultras, and marathons including London, New York and Berlin. The trails are where I am happiest, luckily I live right near the Chilterns and most weekends I can be found swearing at hills and chomping down on some gels.
All being well with races next year I am looking at doing a few more ultras and hopefully Edinburgh marathon – the A race for 2021 is Race to the Stones 100km. Maybe see you there!
