25–26 Jan 2025 265 days to go! #RunShow

Simon Teagle

I’ve been in and out of running my whole life. I was always the kid who got bored walking so ran instead, if that’s from the bus to home after school, to competing in track and cross country.
I entered the ballot for the London Marathon about 15 times without success, completed the Barcelona Triathlon in 2010, the Royal Parks Half in 2017 and was content plodding around the countryside.
Then in 2019 I was diagnosed with Relapse Remitting Multiple Sclerosis, my mum too has lived with her MS for 40 years, and since then I’ve leaned into words that she received – ‘if you planned to climb Everest, do it sooner rather than later’. I’ve used this sentence and my diagnosis as inspiration to challenge the norm against MS diagnoses, I now run to raise money and awareness for MS, completing numerous marathons, 50k’s and the 100k Jurassic Coast, with my eyes now set on an event of my own.. the Cornish Coastal Path, 480km, 18000m vert, 7 days, 7 ultras, 7 teams and me.
