Ania Gabb Personal Training
With over 20 years experience in the fitness industry I’ve seen my fair share of clients and also their injuries. As a runner I love how strong my body has become from teaching different styles of classes from yoga & pilates to boxing and hiit. I love teaching stretch & mobility to pass on my knowledge of how it helps prevent injuries, as well as the importance of cross training for runners. Having good mobility through practicing dynamic stretches can help ensure that all the joints of your body are moving optimally, including running.
My stretch and mobility classes consist of a mix of yoga and pilates moves, as well as basic stretches to help you build a more agile body. I will also be providing ‘marathon training tips’ for anyone running their first marathon or their 100th. Through my own experience, my clients, and knowledge, I can help answer any questions you may have from training plans, to nutrition, and recovery. To follow on I will be teaching ‘Strength for runners’ and demonstrating, in my opinion, the best strength exercises to incorporate into your training that I feel will help you become a stronger and injury free runner.
Stretch and mobility class:
Stretch and Mobility incorporates a mix of yoga, pilates, mobility, flexibility, and gentle stretching. I create a workout that helps you as a runner to move more freely and ease any tightness within the body, including hips, back, and shoulders. As well as mobilising the body, the class focuses on the posterior chain to create a stronger body and core to help ease those problem areas.
Marathon Tips
Whether you’re a complete marathon novice or a pro, we all learn something new. I will be sharing my own personal experiences, clients experiences, and knowledge, from personalised training programs, nutrition, strength, and recovery.
Strength
This class will take you through some simple bodyweight exercises to help you build a stronger body and prevent injury. We’ll dive deep into the importance of single leg work, core, and plyometric training. Available for all levels.
Schedule:
10:00 - 10:20 - Stretch & Mobility for Runners
10:45 - 11:05 - Strength & Core for Runners
11:30 - 11:50 - Stretch & Mobility for Runners

Renovate Wellness
Running, especially long distance running is catabolic – it breaks down muscle! Without running specific strength training you will gradually get weaker and injuries will become the norm. Strength and conditioning training is ESSENTIAL to help you avoid injury and run faster, further and stronger and smash your running goals!
Renovate Wellness is a boutique gym set up by physiotherapist and avid runner Nicky Edwards (who is speaking at the show) and her physiotherapist husband to help support runners of all abilities to reach their full potential. Whether that be participating in their first park run, running their first ½ or full marathon, or trying to smash a new PB over a particular distance.
‘Renovate on Demand’ is our brand new online service offering physiotherapist designed exercise videos specifically for runners. Choose from a quick 5min blast to a full 45min workout. There’s a huge variety to choose from such as Pilates, HIIT, Kettle bells, Body Weight Training, Low impact Strength Training, Resistance Band sessions, Flexibility & Stretching sessions, Running Form drills and so much more!
At the show we are hosting FREE mini sessions for you to join in and experience the benefits of ‘renovating’ your body!
Timetable coming soon…

Enjoy scheduled talks with guest athletes and product designers to learn more about the Adizero range, whilst taking a closer look at record-breaking footwear. The Run Café sponsored by adidas, at the centre of the show, is a great meeting point and the perfect place for a community catch up! Come and meet other visitors while you relax, unwind and refuel with our selection of vegan food and drinks available to buy. Chiltern Physiotherapy
Your feet are the foundation for your entire body. Poor foot position can cause pain in your feet, knees, hips and lower back, as well as balance issues and poor posture. So many runners suffer recurrent niggles and injuries that could be prevented by correct foot position and biomechanics.
Specialist custom 3D printed orthotics loved by elite athletes but beneficial for EVERYONE!
Phits 3D printed insoles are the choice of elite athletes such as Lily Partridge, Charlotte Purdue, Aly Dixon, Natasha Cockram, Tom Evans, Ben Connor and Steph Davis.
Orthotic assessment with our expert Phits™ certified physiotherapists includes a gait analysis using a high speed footscan® (force platform) system that monitors the mechanics of your feet to identify any asymmetries or abnormalities, providing detailed information that simply cannot be seen with the human eye. The footscan® technology intuitively translates this dynamic data into the Phits Insole design to complement the expert knowledge of our physiotherapists and your personalised orthotics are then 3D printed to fit your exact requirements.
Whether you are a weekend warrior or an elite athlete, our 3D printed Phits insoles will help your feet adopt the correct foot position, improve your movement efficiency and minimise your risk of injury. They are protected by D3O®, the leading impact protection material, which offers maximal shock absorption, comfort and extreme durability.
Orthotics can reduce pain by relieving pressure from the painful areas. The footscan® (force platform) system highlights where the forces are transmitted through your feet while you are in motion. We are able to see areas of excessive force that can be source of your problems and reduce these forces with orthotics to prevent problems before they even happen.
Orthotics aren’t just beneficial for pain relief, they are widely used as a preventative measure to reduce the risk of injury, minimise fatigue and improve running performance.
No two feet are the same – including yours! Unlike ‘off the shelf’ orthotics, our Phits™ orthotics are specific to each individual foot, and not a ‘generic’ pair.

Rick joined The Running Channel at the get-go and has taken on dozens of challenges, making hundreds of videos, over the last 6 years. His biggest challenge though was coming back from a serious accident to his knee. It put him on crutches for almost 12 months, with three separate procedures and 120 physio sessions to get him running again. He has since taken on half-marathons breaking PB’s. Away from The Running Channel, Rick is a broadcaster and writer with The Times and The BBC. You may also have been unfortunate enough to hear his music.
Tom has worked in the Running Industry for over 7 years. But it’s only recently that he would call himself ‘A Runner.’ With a background in team sports, Tom has always run to enable him to play another sport. Now, with a shift in focus, Tom is finding his feet (quite literally) and being put through his paces as one of the presenters at The Running Channel.
James is an ultrarunner, marathon addict and general sucker for punishment.
20+ stone back in mid 2015 and struggling mentally James knew he needed to make a change and so headed out the door for a “run”. A year later had completed 4 marathons, 6 half marathons and kick started a love of running that’s led to over 40 marathons and crazy races like Marathon des Sables, Comrades, a marathon around a prison and a marathon around his two seater sofa.
One of the newest Running Channel presenters, Jess can’t help but dabble in a bit of anything when it comes to running. She will race a 5k but has also completed a 5 day multi stage ultra marathon, and most recently broke the 3 hour mark in the marathon. Next year she has set her biggest challenge yet; to complete 42 marathons in a year.
Ben Tansley was strapped to a hospital bed when he made his first venture into disability sport. Just three weeks earlier, life had been very different: his day-to-day was running the boxing gym he’d opened at 26 – a lifelong dream after his time in the ring as a youth – and parenting duties as the father of two young children. Then, on August 13, 2017, the family were on a typical day out, riding motorcycles to the coast
near their home in Kings Lynn, Norfolk, when Tansley was knocked from his bike. He suffered a T4 spinal injury and was paralysed from the chest down.
The British Paralympic Association was surprised to hear from him. “I said I wanted to get involved,” explains Tansley, now 38. “[The person I spoke to] said she’d never had anyone contact her about competing three weeks after being paralysed. But you have to make the best out of the worst situation, don’t you?”
Despite being told he’d never walk again, Tansley spent the following weeks determinedly attempting to wiggle a single toe. And just a day after his discharge from the Princess Royal Spinal Unit in Sheffield, he completed his first event as a para athlete – a 5K Parkrun in his wheelchair. “That was my way of showing the kids that I’m still me,” Tansley says. He went on to complete the Berlin Marathon in his chair and, following an unwavering dedication to his physiotherapy, is now able to walk with the aid of crutches.
Tansley’s latest feat was taking part in the Red Bull 400 in Planica, Slovenia – a gruelling 400m event that challenges competitors to race up a ski slope with 202m of altitude gain. There was a moment, halfway up, when Tansley thought he couldn’t reach the top. “This internal battle started,” he says. “That little voice saying, ‘You can’t do it, you need to stop.’ But I pushed through it. I would have crawled to the top if I had to – I wouldn’t let it beat me.”
This determination and resilience have underpinned every step of Tansley’s journey, whether reaching a 400m summit on a 37° incline or confounding the doctors who said his sporting life was over. And he’s not done yet…

Paul is a PhD researcher, sports nutritionist and exercise physiologist specialising in ultra-marathon fuelling and performance. Following 23 years as a University Lecturer, Paul left to work in applied exercise practice, working with some of the best elite and high calibre ultra-runners in the UK. Across the last 20 years, Paul has completed 87 ultramarathons (and DNF’s a bunch of others). Paul lives, runs and cycles on the Yorkshire Dales, where he misses Indian food, arts, culture and people under the age of 70.
Hannah is Director of sustainable impact agency betternotstop and also founded the Better Business Network, supporting hundreds of purpose-led business leaders and thousands of employees.
Hannah started her running journey just 6 months ago, she has already tackled her first Ultra and in October 2025 is setting out to run over 4000km across India in 100 days, finishing at her Dad’s childhood home in Calcutta.
Her journey traces the routes of an old Inland Customs Line created in 1869 to enforce a salt tax. Within seven years, a famine engulfed India and between six and ten million people starved to death due to poor British food policies like this. Her aim is to raise £1,000,000 for communities impacted by climate change. Project Salt Run is a symbol of consuming and taking more than we need, and that when we do, we compromise the ability of future generations to meet their needs.
Vegan runner and environmental activist, Kate turned her life around after being told she’d got psoriatic arthritis. Bed-bound and in constant pain, she was put on heavy drugs to manage her condition. She educated herself on diet and turned to a whole food, plant-based diet and is now off meds, pain free, and has just run her third marathon. She is passionate about environmental issues and uses her voice to speak up about these issues and extol the benefits of veganism for a healthy planet.
Writer of Odes, Co-founder of The Green Runners and Founder of Pair Ups. Darren pours his endless passion and energy into advocating for a more joyful, sustainable and positive future for running. He lives his mission every day as a running coach and 3WordRuns Race Director of The Rathfinny Run (a greener race held in a B Corp Vineyard in East Sussex) and The “Brutal but Beautiful” Longbridge 100 Backyard Ultra.
Mark is one of Into Ultras case study athletes, taken on for 9 months free coaching to showcase the work that Into Ultra do to help get people up and running (if you’ll excuse the pun).
Come and find out how Into Ultra is helping him and how he’s getting on with his journey from couch to 50 miles!
Recovery Runners was born out of a conversation in January 2021.
Deano was running a Couch to 5k with Growing Rooms, a residential rehab facility in Leeds, and Jamie was doing the same with Spacious Places, a non-residential day care also in Leeds. It made sense to unite the 2 and come up with a name. So Recovery Runners Community was born.
Deano and Jamie are both recovering alcoholics and know the effects of physical exercise and the link with good mental health.
Initially it was aimed at recovering alcoholics and addicts but it soon became bigger than that. As soon a Facebook page was generated it soon became apparent that there was a larger audience that wanted what we had to offer.
Sure enough in no time at all we had members struggling with eating disorders, gambling addiction, anxiety, PTSD, long Covid, depression, poor mental health. Basically anyone recovering from anything. Early in we knew that a lack of kit or trainers was an obstacle for some so we put the call out for anyone’s surplus.
We were inundated. We kitted people out from head to toe for free. We didn’t want the fact that not having would stop people doing. We still do that today.
In the last 3 years we have grown from a handful of members meeting in small groups during Covid to almost 1200 members. We are stretched across the country and the globe. We put on an Easter and Christmas Event every year where we ask people to bring along Easter Eggs/Christmas presents for the kids and food bank donations for families in the local area who are struggling. We also host a free Birthday BBQ every year on or around 1st August, which is our official Birthday. We are a community rather than a club. We put no pressure in anyone. We run at their pace. A pace where you can chat and make friends. We have run several Couch to 5k programs where we see people come that have never run going into running Marathons.
We are currently running a rolling Couch to 5k, free of charge, to get people up, our, moving and talking. We now have a branch it Aylesbury and run a Wednesday group with the local rehabs and recovery centres. We meet weekly on a Sunday at a local Boxing Club where we have runs, routes and paces to suit everyone.
We’re a family, simple as that. People are attracted to us because we are open, friendly, culturally diverse, all inclusive, never exclusive and welcome absolutely everyone. We look forward to the future and meeting those friends we haven’t met yet.
I’m Alan, a 45 year old ultra runner, endurance athlete, running coach, personal trainer, gym owner, and race director of Runningmonk Trail Events. I’m also a recovering alcoholic and a cocaine addict. I smoked weed nearly every day of my life from 26-38.
I am the current FKT holder for running the loop of Wales, 1,059 miles in less than 23 days. I broke the record for the Welsh Coast Path on the way round. Getting sober at 38 was like starting my life all over again, and I would implore anyone with addiction issues to try and sober up. Life is on the other side of addiction, and as scary as it may seem to active addicts, I can assure you it’s worth facing your fears for.
Karen has been competing in ultra-distance races for over 10 years and loves (and sometimes loathes) a Backyard Ultra. With 40 yards under her belt, the former GB female record holder has a real passion for encouraging female to participate in the lapped format. Karen has won the Crawley 12 hour and 6 hour races and stood on the podium in many other ultra races including Edinburgh 24, Glenmore 24 and Devil o’ the Highlands.
Founder and RD of her local Junior Parkrun, guide runner, journaling advocate and ultra running coach specialising in female health and menopause, her passion is supporting others to overcome barriers and use running as a vessel to a better life.
UESCA Certified Ultra Running Coach and Certified Female Athlete and Menopause Coach.
One of the founding members of The Green Runners, Dan has represented GB numerous times at 24 hour running, winning the European Championships in 2016. The 51-year-old grandfather hold several records, including Land End to John O’Groats and the National Three Peaks records which the environmental activist broke in 2024.
Helen Thorn is an award-winning comedian, podcaster and author. She is widely known for her honest and hilarious take on parenthood and for accidentally becoming a marathon runner. Through her social media channel, she shares the ups and downs of training and juggling running amongst touring and motherhood. She has completed 8 marathons in the past 3 years and in March 2025, she is set complete the World Major Marathons in Tokyo. She is one half of the comedy duo Scummy Mummies and co-host of one of the most popular parenting podcasts in the UK. Helen is the author of the Sunday Times bestseller Get Divorced Be Happy.
I started my running journey like everyone on this planet in lockdown to get out of the house. Lockdown hit me with a lot of partying living in East London with DJs … we hit it hard and I started to run as more of a way to get out, I tried out 5kms and half marathons but quickly set my sights on a marathon and this year have completed a couple of ultras as well as The Speed Project solo…500km in 5 days (112hours) from LA to Las Vegas! I love to share everything from my failures to my wins, I want to show that everything is okay and there isn’t any right way to go about the journey as long as it makes you happy!
I started running to help my mental health and documenting the process as a way to keep myself accountable. Sharing the process felt like a natural progression, finding a passion outside of your natural confidence and security can bring creativity and spark back. I love challenging the norm when it comes to running, and showing you can push your limits, in out of the box ways. This year I got a place in the Berlin marathon and thought how can I make this … a bit more me! So I got up the morning of the marathon and ran it finish to start and then ran it start to finish with the crowds!
The beauty of running is finding like minded people and bonding over some crazy sh**t!
Fiona is an ultra-runner for Salomon UK, a strength coach, Pilates instructor and is launching a trail running retreats business in 2025. She lives and trains on the Quantock hills in Somerset, but likes long races in big mountains. She fell for ultra running when she did the Bob Graham round in the Lake District – she loved the community and it made her wonder how much further she could push herself. Since then she has had a couple of big wins in Europe, she has run for GB and NI and as also made some silly mistakes, had plenty of disappointing runs and learned a lot!

Jeff Booher is Founder and CEO of Predictive Fitness, LLC, a health and fitness data company that uses predictive analytics to deliver highly personalized training and coaching to endurance athletes. He developed the company’s first service, TriDot, to specifically meet training and coaching needs for triathletes.
Jeff started competing in triathlons in 2002. He has completed over 60 events, including four IRONMAN, with numerous age-group and overall masters wins. He is also a USA Triathlon (USAT) Level II Certified Coach and coaches a USAT High Performance Junior Triathlon Team which is the top team in USAT’s South Midwest Region. Jeff has also been selected by USAT to coach multiple Olympic hopefuls as part of the Collegiate Recruitment Program (top collegiate recruits in the US).
Jeff served in the Military Intelligence Branch of the U.S. Army where he was a Russian linguist and also trained soldiers to exceed physical fitness standards.
Following his active-duty service in the Army, he was a systems engineer designing supply-chain-management software and served the next 16 years as Chief Operating Officer of three different corporations where he determined key performance metrics, technology, infrastructure, standards, and process to optimize quality and profitability.
In 2004, Jeff began analyzing the science of triathlon training in search of better training efficiency and results. He found triathlon coaches and athletes were being guided by philosophies and “one size fits all” approaches based on tradition, as well as some level of myth and guesswork.
But one consistency was evident. Personal data matters in triathlon training and no one was including an extensive view of an athlete’s physiology, background and current performance levels. Given this, Jeff decided to launch TriDot.
Today, TriDot is an easy-to-use, analytics-based system that takes the guesswork out of training. It leverages individual factors with comprehensive data of similar triathletes to create a uniquely personalized approach to triathlon training. TriDot’s personalization includes a performance index which scores a triathlete’s actual and potential performance ability on a scale of 1 to 100 in, swim, bike and run, as well as overall.
In the end, TriDot is a predictable, measurable and repeatable training and performance methodology, versus a belief or philosophy.
Jeff holds a BBA in Management of Information Systems from Texas A&M University. He and his wife Jennifer are longtime residents of Southlake, TX where they live with their daughter and two sons.

He also launched a solo podcast project, Big Fish, where he meets inspiring and incredible people from influential CEOs to trailblazing creatives. BBC Sounds collaborated further with Spencer on a new podcast “Obsessed With…” which delved into the storyline of the BBC1 smash hit “SAS: Rogue Heroes.”

Spencer is a director of The Michael Matthews Foundation, a charity set up by the family in memory of his brother Michael who sadly passed away at the young age of 22. Currently, around 4000 children are being educated at schools supported by MMF. The Charity’s focus is to provide an education to those whom without help would be unlikely to receive one at all. MMF also focuses on the construction of durable school buildings, and in particular dormitories for girls – tangible assets which deliver lasting benefits. Spencer has visited Tanzania several times in the last few years to assist in any way possible and will continue to do so.
In August 2024, Spencer completed a Guinness World Record – 30 Marathons in 30 days all on sand in Jordan, raising significant funds for Global’s Make Some Noise.

Harry has been running for over 24 years, from starting out on the track and representing Wales as a junior, to finding his way onto trails and into ultra-trail racing over recent years.
He grew up in North Wales and has a degree in Sport Biomedicine & Nutrition which he puts to good use as an accredited run coach.
In 2013, Harry moved to Thailand, running around the mountains of Chiang Mai which is where his trail running journey began.
In 2016, he decided to take racing seriously again and see how far I could take things. That meant 14 races, 9 wins, course records on the trails, roads and up a skyscraper, and his first 100k.
In 2017, he started racing internationally to further challenge himself as a trail runner, and in 2019 he reached a major milestone in his running career, signing his first contract as a professional trail runner. He has gone on to represent GB in Mountain Running at the World Championship in 2022 & 2023.
Most recently, he competed in the CCC at UTMB 2024 where he came 17th out of 2,269 – making him the highest placed Brit in the race and also 5th for his age group (35-39).

Sir Mo Farah, CBE, is a multiple Olympic, World and European Champion athlete. For many he is Britain’s greatest ever athlete having accumulated 10 global titles which includes the ‘double double’ of gold medals over 5,000m and 10,000m at both the 2012 and 2016 Olympic Games. He holds numerous European and British Records and has the World Bests for 2 miles indoors (8:03.40) and the One Hour Run (21,330m).
Mo is a dedicated family man who lives and trains in South West London with his wife and their four children. He famously dedicated each of his four Olympic gold medals to his four children.
His achievements are a far cry from his humble beginnings in Somalia, arriving in London from Mogadishu at the age of 8 and speaking very little English. Mo grew up in West London and began running at school when spotted by his PE teacher, who saw potential in his young student.
Mo was a very successful junior athlete, winning the European Junior 5,000m title in 2001. His major breakthrough came in 2006 when he won a silver medal in the 5,000m at the European T&F Championships and later in the same year he won the European Cross Country Championships.
Mo’s career took another step forward in 2010 with a 5,000m and 10,000m golden double at the European T&F Championships, and then one week later he became the first British man to run sub 13 minutes for the 5000m – setting a British Record time of 12:57.94. 2011 was a dream season for Mo as he became the first British man to win the 5,000m at the World T&F Championships, a few days after winning a silver medal in the 10,000m. He smashed the European 10,000m Record with a time of 26:46.57 and improved the British 5,000m Record to 12:53.11.
Then came the London 2012 Olympics. In his first race, Mo capped off “Super Saturday” by winning the 10,000m gold medal in a time of 27:30.42. This was Great Britain’s first ever Olympic gold medal in the 10,000m. One week later Mo completed the long distance double by winning the 5,000m in a time of 13:41.66. To finish off an amazing 2012, Mo’s wife Tania gave birth to twin daughters to whom Mo dedicated each of his Olympic Gold Medals.
Since London 2012 Mo has continued to go from strength to strength. At the 2013 World T&F Championships in Moscow, Mo completed another long distance double in the 5,0000m and 10,000m. At the 2014 European T&F Championships in Zurich Mo did the same again. This achievement made him the most successful individual in the history of the European Athletics Championships, with five titles to his name. He then once more repeated the long distance double at the 2015 World Championships in Beijing, before ending the 2015 season with victory in the Great North Run.
Mo secured his legacy as one of the greatest distance runner of all time at the 2016 Rio Olympics. By winning both the 5,000m and 10,000m gold medals Mo became just the second athlete to complete the long distance double-double. Victory in the 10,000m was particularly dramatic as Mo was accidentally tripped during the race, falling to the floor and then having to catch up with the leaders before finally winning in a enthralling finish. This time Mo dedicated his two Gold medals to his daughter Rhianna and son Hussein to complete the set! To round off an incredible year, Mo was knighted in the Queen’s New Year Honours list for services to Athletics.
In the summer of 2017, Mo completed his last track World T&F Championships in front of his home crowd at the London Stadium, where he secured his tenth Gold and second Silver medals at a global championships.
From the track Mo transitioned onto the roads and targeted the marathon. This new challenge started with a third place finish and new British Record at the 2018 London Marathon, and then went even better with victory and a new European Record of 2:05:11 at the 2018 Chicago Marathon.

Laura trained for her first marathon whilst being a single parent to three children under the age of seven and studying full time at university, wanting to show that you can fit training in if you want it enough. She has gone on to complete part of a masters degree fitting in training by running to work and back, often squeezing in a ride on her pony amongst all this! Believing anything is possible if you want it enough. She is also currently studying to become a coach. Laura, aged 44, works as an advanced practice breast radiographer in the NHS, as well as being a running coach and lives in Devon with her husband, three children, pony and many animals.
Chris Thompson is one of Great Britain’s best-known long-distance runners, having won silver at the 2010 European Athletics Championships and competed in two Olympic Games for Team GB.
In 2010, Thompson was part of a British one-two in the 10,000 meters at the European Championships, taking silver behind Mo Farah. He went on to run the 10,000m at his home Olympics in London in 2012, before competing in the Olympic marathon 9 years later in Sapporo, Japan after qualifying with a personal best of 2:10:52 at the age of 39.
Thompson made his international debut in 1998 and has represented his country over cross-country, track and the roads. Recently Chris called time on a professional career which culminated in a 1st place finish at the Great South 5k, his 17th victory in Great Run events since his first in 2008.
I started running at University in 2018, after talking to a friend and us both wondering if we could run 5k in one go. It turned out we could (just about), but we then set ourselves the challenge of getting our time down from 45 minutes to 25, which we did! 4 years later and I’ve stepped up from 5k to 10 and beyond, completing my first marathon in October 2021, and then going on to complete my first ultra at Thailand by UTMB in December 2021. I’ve definitely caught the ultra bug now and have lots more races on my bucket list for the future! I love running because no matter how hard it feels or how long or short the run is, it is guaranteed to put me in a better mood and clear my head. Running has given me the escape I need when life gets hectic and it somehow never gets boring, even after 11 hours out on the mountains, there is fun to be had!

As a result, he’s gone on to compete in more than 100 gloriously varied running challenges from 100-mile races to multi-stage ultras to obstacle course races and far more beer and alcohol-related races than is probably healthy. He is currently training to complete an Ironman triathlon (sadly).
At the National Running Show South, Jody and David from Bad Boy Running will be hosting the Ultra Zone supported by their team of Do-Badders, bringing a suitable vibe of mediocrity as a counterpoint to all the elite talent on show.
