Four additional names will be joining the impressive list of exhibitors and partners at The National Running Show at Birmingham’s NEC on 20-21 January 2018
The latest exhibitors to come on board are LightupU, Pace Pockets, TrainAsONE and Runarchy. They join a first-class line-up of race organisers, sports retailers, sports brands, nutrition experts, official sporting bodies and communities all set to share their offering at this exciting and innovative new show for runners. Over 12,000 runners have already registered for tickets to The National Running Show and it is set to be the event to attend for anyone with any interest in running.
LightupU is a range of illuminated wearable products aimed at increasing the visibility and safety of runners in poor light or darkness. The range was inspired by runner David Andrews who was hit by a car and left unconscious whilst out running one night. David thankfully made a full recovery and went on to develop this collection of accessories suitable for runners, cyclists and walkers. The range is relevant to anyone exercising outside around or after nightfall, especially during the dark winter months.
Any visitor to The National Running Show who has ever had to work out their target split times mid-race will welcome the presence of Pace Pockets at the show. These ingenious fabric wristbands list a choice of marathon or half marathon split times whilst also acting as a storage pocket for running essentials. Retailing at only £5, they are money very well spent come race day.
TrainAsONE prides itself on being the most sophisticated and advanced training system on the market. It provides intelligent, round-the-clock coaching for runners of all abilities and goals, with highly personalised coaching based on the individual’s health, fitness level, time availability and goals. TrainAsONE can improve the performance of any runner visiting The National Running Show, from those just starting out to seasoned athletes.
Rebellious sportswear brand Runarchy is sure to stand out with its range of edgy sportswear. As a brand dedicated to promoting the positive effects of exercise on the mind, its mission is to make its users feel good by running, exercising and keeping fit their way. As such, Runarchy’s clothing inspires individuality, uniqueness and nonconformity.
Already secured as partners for The National Running Show are some of the UK’s most trusted running brands and communities, including UKRunChat, Run Mummy Run, Running Heroes, The Great Run Company, Race Solutions, Xtra Mile Events, Impact Marathon Series, White Star Running, Ealing Half Marathon, aat-events and The Running Awards. Cancer Research UK is the Official Charity Partner.
Media partners for the show include Men’s Running, Women’s Running, Sports Insight Magazine and Athletics Weekly.
Dame Kelly Holmes will be opening The National Running Show and heading up a superb line-up of speakers including Olympian Jo Pavey, endurance runner Susie Chan, adventurer and extreme endurance athlete Sean Conway and ‘Barefoot Aleks’ Kashefi. They will be covering a huge range of topics including how to run the perfect half marathon, trail versus road running, mental toughness and more.
Mike Seaman, Director of Raccoon Events, commented: “We are delighted to welcome LightupU, Pace Pockets, TrainAsONE and Runarchy as exhibitors at The National Running Show in January. They all offer something very different and are extremely relevant to runners of all abilities, so we are excited to add them to our already impressive line-up of exhibitors, partners and sponsors. It is fantastic to have such a strong offering for the many runners we will be welcoming over the course of the weekend, as this really will be the biggest gathering of the UK’s running community and all the big names in running under one roof.”
