Birmingham Children’s Hospital announced as official charity partner of The National Running Show 2024

The National Running Show has today announced the renewal of its charity partnership with Birmingham Children’s Hospital Charity for the 2024 event. This collaboration, now in its third year, aims to promote fundraising initiatives for the charity through the sport of running.

Birmingham Children’s Hospital is one of the UK’s leading specialist paediatric centres, catering for 90,000 sick children and young people every year. From purchasing state-of-the-art equipment and championing the latest medical treatments; to groundbreaking research and creating the very best patient environments, the charity makes a real difference to every child and family at the hospital.

The event is an opportunity for visitors to connect directly with brands, get first sight of new products, benefit from show discounts, hear from the industry’s top speakers and take part in interactive features. The show will play host to an enviable speaker line-up including Dame Kelly Holmes, Adrienne Herbert and Jamie Baulch and is set to attract over 26,000 running enthusiasts over the weekend.

Nathalie Davies, Managing Director at Raccoon Media Group, expressed her enthusiasm about the collaboration saying, “We are extremely proud to partner with Birmingham Children’s Hospital Charity again to promote and support the wonderful work that they do. There are so many unsung heroes who run incredible distances to raise money for charity and we hope to encourage visitors to the show in 2024 to run their next race for this remarkable hospital.”

Miranda Williams, Head of Public Fundraising for Birmingham Children’s Hospital Charity, said: “We’re so thrilled to be partnering once again with the National Running Show. It’s been incredible connecting with so many people from the running community at the event over the last two years. We know how passionate they are about running, and our aim is to encourage them to channel that same passion into doing good for our brave patients and their families.”

The sixth edition of the National Running Show will take place on the 20-21 January 2024 at the NEC, Birmingham. Tickets will cost £10 and will go on sale on 20 July 2023.
