Stretch and Mobility for Runners

Ania Gabb Personal Training
With over 20 years experience in the fitness industry I’ve seen my fair share of clients and also their injuries. As a runner I love how strong my body has become from teaching different styles of classes from yoga & pilates to boxing and hiit. I love teaching stretch & mobility to pass on my knowledge of how it helps prevent injuries, as well as the importance of cross training for runners. Having good mobility through practicing dynamic stretches can help ensure that all the joints of your body are moving optimally, including running.
My stretch and mobility classes consist of a mix of yoga and pilates moves, as well as basic stretches to help you build a more agile body. I will also be providing ‘marathon training tips’ for anyone running their first marathon or their 100th. Through my own experience, my clients, and knowledge, I can help answer any questions you may have from training plans, to nutrition, and recovery. To follow on I will be teaching ‘Strength for runners’ and demonstrating, in my opinion, the best strength exercises to incorporate into your training that I feel will help you become a stronger and injury free runner.
Stretch and mobility class:
Stretch and Mobility incorporates a mix of yoga, pilates, mobility, flexibility, and gentle stretching. I create a workout that helps you as a runner to move more freely and ease any tightness within the body, including hips, back, and shoulders. As well as mobilising the body, the class focuses on the posterior chain to create a stronger body and core to help ease those problem areas.
Marathon Tips
Whether you’re a complete marathon novice or a pro, we all learn something new. I will be sharing my own personal experiences, clients experiences, and knowledge, from personalised training programs, nutrition, strength, and recovery.
Strength
This class will take you through some simple bodyweight exercises to help you build a stronger body and prevent injury. We’ll dive deep into the importance of single leg work, core, and plyometric training. Available for all levels.
