Tom Evans is one of the biggest names in trail running today. In 2025 he won the legendary UTMB in brutal alpine conditions, finishing in 19:18:58 to become the first British man to take the title in almost twenty years. It was a defining moment for the former British Army captain who has built his career on discipline, resilience, and smart racing.
Tom first caught attention in 2017 when he surprised the ultra running community by finishing third at the Marathon des Sables, his first major race. From there he went on to win CCC at UTMB in 2018, run the fastest non-American time at Western States in 2019, and after recovering from knee surgery, return to win Western States outright in 2023.
He is known for his methodical approach, consistent pacing, and calm head under pressure. Tom runs for the ASICS Trail Team and splits his training between the UK and the Alps.
