Lucy Gossage is an ultra-runner, oncologist, and former professional triathlete and duathlete known for her grit, humility, and love of endurance adventure. A practicing doctor at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust, Lucy balances medicine with a passion for pushing endurance boundaries.
During her elite career, she became a 14-time Iron-distance champion, twice earned the title of European duathlon champion, and established herself as one of Britain’s most determined long-course athletes. After stepping away from professional triathlon, Lucy embraced ultra-running and in 2025 she won the Winter Spine Race, one of the UK’s toughest ultra-endurance challenges. She also holds the FKT on the 630 mile South West coast path.
Lucy is also co-founder of Move Against Cancer and a driving force behind 5K Your Way Move Against Cancer, empowering people living with and beyond cancer to stay active and connected. Proudly calling herself an ultra-plodder, Lucy champions movement for joy, community and wellbeing, inspiring others to embrace challenge and celebrate what their bodies can do.
