Dr. Bernadette Dancy is a Health Coach, She is also the Co-founder of ‘RunWell’, a group that aims to educate runners about the impact of running on their health.
A keen runner herself and a huge advocate of running for mental health, Bernie believes we as a running community need to start talking more honestly about how adding training stress to over-stretched resources can potentially exacerbate mental illness and damage our health.
Bernie has 15 years’ experience working as a Senior Lecturer in Health and Exercise Science, a PhD in Sport Psychology, and a Master’s degree in Lifestyle Cardiology. She is currently a self-employed coach helping people create space for training stress by better managing life stress. She is also working on an international research project which investigates the impact of movement for mental health.
