Christopher is Managing Director of Marathon Kids UK, a national not-for-profit organisation dedicated to combating childhood obesity and poor mental health in children through physical activity.
Prior to joining the charity in 2019, Christopher was a reception teacher in a Primary School in Coventry. After seeing an increasing trend in children becoming more overweight, a reduction in their self-esteem and low aspiration to take part in PE and physical activity, Christopher knew he had to make a greater difference. He set out to inspire UK children and families to become more physically active and with the support of the Marathon Kids UK team, is achieving this dream by influencing tens of thousands of children to move more.
Christopher enjoys working with people and takes pride in making a difference through sport. He is the Vice Chair of Governors and Early Years Curriculum Lead at Woodlands Infant School, in Solihull as well as the Safeguarding Officer at his local football club. He is also a co-owner of a successful health and fitness business, which has led to more sporting opportunities for children and young people in the village where he grew up in Ireland.
