Denise Stephenson is the co-founder and Director of Emancipated Run Crew CIC https://www.emancipatedruncrew.com/, a running community created to increase diversity in grassroots running and to provide a safe, supportive and encouraging space for black and brown people to run free.
She is also a founder and CEO of a charity, Reach Out 2 Kids (ROK) https://www.ro2k.co.uk/ which supports children and young people from diverse and lower income backgrounds to help fulfil their career goals. Denise gave up her career as a lawyer to work on ROK full time in January 2021. Denise is also a public speaker and trainer on race, racism and how companies and corporates can shift the dial to improve equity, fairness and inclusion for black and brown people. Finally, Denise is a co-creator and host of The Start Line podcast, https://www.thestartlinepod.com/ which she co-hosts with her sisters Jules and Petrina.
