I am a Sport & Exercise Medicine (SEM) Consultant with a specialist interest in women’s health for sport & exercise participation. I am passionate about closing the gender health gap and am focussed on continuing to work in an environment that helps bridge that elusive clinical-research gap in female athlete health. I am currently also a Clinical Lecturer on the UCL MSc in SEM and clinical module lead for Lower and Upper Limb. In this role I have the pleasure of mentoring postgraduate students who have an interest in sport & exercise, whilst supervising research projects with a women’s health theme.
Expertise: soft tissue injuries, musculoskeletal medicine, exercise rehabilitation, female athlete health, exercise in pregnancy and postnatal return to exercise, exercise considerations during the menopause, exercise and menstrual disorders including amenorrhoea.
Finally, an area of clinical practice I champion and take pride in is excellence in communication. To me this is the foundation of clinical care (particularly in women’s health) and will always be the focus of my consultation style. I look forward to building this into my ongoing teaching and supervision.
