Dr Juliet McGrattan

From an inactive, exhausted mum of three, to a marathon running health expert, Dr Juliet McGrattan is the first to say that running changed her life. It’s now her mission to help others experience the same transformation. After 16 years working as an NHS GP, Dr Juliet now uses her medical knowledge and love of running to help and inspire others to lead active lives.
An award-winning author, health writer, international speaker and educator, Dr Juliet breaks down the barriers that prevent people from experiencing all the physical and mental health benefits of regular exercise.
Dr Juliet is the resident Health Expert for Women’s Running magazine and the Women’s Health Lead, Master Coach and UK Director for 261 Fearless, a global, non-profit network which empowers women through running.
Juliet’s first book, Sorted: The Active Woman’s Guide to Health, published by Bloomsbury, was awarded first prize in the Popular Medicine category in the British Medical Association Medical Book Awards. Her second book Run Well: Essential health questions and answers for runners was published in 2021. Dr Juliet has recently launched her first video course Run Through the Menopause to help women continue their love of running despite all the obstacles the menopause presents.
