Mum of three, triathlete, 2x marathon runner, personal trainer, and proud ASICS FrontRunner. I discovered the power of running after the COVID lockdowns—it helped me feel strong, empowered, and mentally resilient.
Born and raised in the U.S., I got serious about running later in life. Running made me feel strong, capable, and grounded. But when I started entering races, I noticed something: very few women looked like me. It sparked a question which stuck with me—where are all the Asian women in these spaces? That’s when Asian Girls Run was born. I started the group in July 2024 to create a space where Asian women could feel seen, supported, and confident to start their own running journeys—no matter their fitness level. We began with 30 women doing relaxed 2.5k runs. Today, we’re a growing community of over 200 members. Asian Girls Run is about building confidence together, and proving that we all belong in these spaces.
