Jody Raynsford is presenter of the award-winning Bad Boy Running podcast and accidental (#notacult) leader to its community of self-confessed running misfits.
Jody stumbled into being running journalist after completing the Marathon des Sables in 2011 having only completed his first marathon a couple of years earlier during his first mid-life crisis. He forged a reputation for taking on the challenges no other journalist would want.
As a result, he’s gone on to compete in more than 100 gloriously varied running challenges from 100-mile races to multi-stage ultras to obstacle course races and far more beer and alcohol-related races than is probably healthy. He is currently training to complete an Ironman triathlon (sadly).
At the National Running Show South, Jody and David from Bad Boy Running will be hosting the Ultra Zone supported by their team of Do-Badders, bringing a suitable vibe of mediocrity as a counterpoint to all the elite talent on show.
