The organisers of The National Running Show have confirmed one further sponsor and seven further exhibitors for the event which takes place on 20-21 January at Birmingham’s NEC.
It is less than two weeks until this innovative new expo opens its doors to the UK’s running community, and these latest names will be welcomed by the many thousands of runners looking for ideas and inspiration as they make their race, training, nutrition and apparel choices for the year ahead. Over 21,000 runners have registered for The National Running Show and the superb line-up of exhibitors, partners, sponsors and speakers will not disappoint.
The latest sponsor to come on board is The Sports Dietitian, while the latest exhibitors to sign up are everactiv, ashmei, YAMAtune, Gymbeing, Sportscientia, Flapjackery and Precision Hydration. Focusing on running apparel and sports nutrition, these new names are relevant to runners of all abilities looking to maximise their performance.
First up and sponsor of the excellent Nutrition Advice Zone is The Sports Dietitian @ Diet360. The Sports Dietitian is owned by Alex Cook, a UKA Athletics Coach and competitive endurance runner with more than a decade of experience in sports nutrition. Working with a number of endurance athletes and regularly contributing to running and fitness publications, Alex very much understands the demands of running and why correct nutrition is key to performance and recovery. In the Nutrition Advice Zone Alex will be joined by fellow sports dietitians to offer runners advice and expertise around running nutrition. This area is also sponsored by her other brand, Mountain Nutrition. Alex’s presence at the show will certainly be of great benefit to runners wanting to fuel themselves correctly for their 2018 running goals.
everactiv is relatively new to the market but brings 20 years of sports and business experience to its range of technical sportswear for young female athletes. Founders Catriona and Linda are dedicated to inspiring young people through sport, and their stylish everactiv range gives girls the confidence to perform to their potential.
Sportswear designers ashmei pride themselves on producing the best performance athletic apparel in the world, which they achieve by using the very best fibres for an athlete, based on their activity and climate. This enables them to create bespoke material that gives the ultimate performance product, through classic, timeless designs.
Japanese brand YAMAtune has recently launched in the UK and Europe and is already a brand of choice for marathon runners, mountaineers and sports enthusiasts. YAMAtune has been crafting superior socks for over half a century and joins The National Running Show to demonstrate the benefits of their unique products for runners.
Completing the line-up of apparel brands is Gymbeing, a Midlands-based clothing brand that delivers superior quality gym, sports and fitness clothing at affordable prices, as well as expert advice to help runners achieve their goals.
An interesting addition to The National Running Show is ground-breaking sports technology company SportScientia. Launching in the UK in 2018 is their revolutionary wireless smart insole that uses advanced sensors to measure athlete load, weight distribution, gait and movement. This then generates real-time data for injury prediction, prevention and management, which has huge potential for runners.
The final two exhibitors focus on nutrition and hydration, with Devon-based Flapjackery promising to be a popular stop-off. A producer of luxury, handmade flapjacks using top quality local ingredients, Flapjackery boasts a range of highly moreish, interesting flavours, the perfect fuel for runners.
Precision Hydration take sports hydration to the next level with their multi-strength electrolyte supplements that match how an individual sweats. Any runners who struggle in the heat or suffer from cramp or dehydration can drop by the Precision Hydration stand to take their free sweat test and personalise their hydration strategy in just two minutes.
Also confirmed as partners and sponsors for The National Running Show are some of the UK’s most trusted running brands and communities, including UKRunChat, Run Mummy Run, Running Heroes, The Great Run Company, Race Solutions, Xtra Mile Events, Impact Marathon Series, White Star Running, Ealing Half Marathon, The Running Awards, ERDINGER Alkoholfrei, Oofos, Up & Running, Scimitar, Sports Injury Fix, Get Event Fit, Racecheck, Vibram, Hoka One One and Saucony, plus Cancer Research UK as Official Charity Partner.
